It combines GPS (outdoors) with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (indoors) to locate assets in real time, on the shop floor and between sites. It communicates over the NB-IoT network with no SIM card and runs for 5 to 10 years with no recharging. How do you track an industrial container or item of equipment with a GPS tracker? +

Fitting takes less than a minute: high-power magnets, industrial 3M VHB™ adhesive or screws, depending on the surface. No wiring is needed because the tracker runs on its own battery for 5 to 10 years. Once fitted, it reports its position several times a day over the NB-IoT network, at an adaptive frequency (more often when moving, less when stationary). You see every asset on the TRAKmy platform, filter by site, workshop or equipment type, and receive alerts if an asset leaves a zone or stays immobile abnormally long.

Can assets be located inside a plant (indoors)? +

Yes. Outdoors, the tracker uses GPS. Inside workshops and warehouses, it relies on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (BLE). For precise indoor positioning, TRAKmy BLE anchors (GEOBEACON, ZA 3510) are fitted plug and play on the walls and automatically mark out the zones of the plant: production line, storage area, shipping dock, maintenance workshop. Every asset is attached to its zone in real time, with no heavy infrastructure to deploy.

Can the industrial GPS tracker be integrated with an MES, a CMMS or an ERP? +

Yes. TRAKmy provides a two-way REST API (pull + push) and MQTT support for real-time integrations. Positions, inventories by zone, alerts, operating hours and sensor data feed automatically into your system. Compatible with SAP, Oracle, Sage and any MES, CMMS or ERP with an API. The Analytics plan adds Power BI export for your industrial dashboards (OEE, utilisation rate, maintenance). Our technical team supports the integration and provides the developer documentation.

The tracker pairs with TRAKmy BLE sensors: temperature and humidity (HT 4050) for sensitive zones and processes, fill level (FL 4300) for tanks and IBCs, magnetic contact (M 4201) for cabinet openings, and current measurement (CU 4600) to detect machine activity. Thresholds trigger automatic alerts and feed the operating-hours record, useful for preventive maintenance (TPM) and ISO 9001 compliance.
