What sets the ULTRA L+ apart

Dual NB-IoT + LTE-M connectivity

The ULTRA L+ carries two low-power cellular networks. It switches automatically to whichever is available, covering static and mobile assets alike.

LTE-M
Mobile assets, wider roaming

Field installation tips

Mount as high as possible for better network coverage.
Install vertically, logo facing up, with a clear view of the sky.
Avoid metal or carbon above the tracker: it blocks RF signals.
A flat, clean and degreased surface for optimal adhesion.

On metal exposed to sunlight: add a thermal insulator underneath (wood, plastic).

Avoid low points where water collects, even with IP69K.
⚠ Possible NB-IoT / LTE-M delay

If "online" does not appear within 5 minutes, hold the magnet against the tracker again for 5 seconds. Retry every 5 minutes. The tracker retries automatically after 24 hours.

Everything about the ULTRA L+

What is the difference between the ULTRA L+ and the ULTRA N+?
The ULTRA L+ adds LTE-M connectivity to NB-IoT: it is a dual-network tracker. LTE-M handles mobility (handover between cell towers while in transit) and wider roaming, which makes the ULTRA L+ suited to mobile and static assets alike. The ULTRA N+ (model 1101) runs on NB-IoT only, optimised for static or semi-static assets. In every other respect (GNSS, Wi-Fi, BLE, 5 native sensors, IP68/IP69K/IK09) the two models are identical.
What is the battery life of the ULTRA L+ GPS tracker?
The ULTRA L+ has a replaceable 10,800 mAh Li-SoCl2 battery, giving up to 10 years of battery life depending on the reporting frequency configured. For standard use (one position per day), the estimated range is 5 to 10 years.
What does LTE-M change compared with NB-IoT?
NB-IoT is optimised for static assets and deep coverage (basements, dense areas). LTE-M handles mobility through handover between cell towers while in transit and offers wider roaming. The ULTRA L+ carries both and switches automatically to whichever network is available, for maximum coverage across Europe and North America.
Does the ULTRA L+ tracker need a subscription?
The ULTRA L+ requires a TRAKmy platform subscription for NB-IoT/LTE-M connectivity and mapping. No SIM card is needed: connectivity is built in and activated automatically (Extended plan).
Does the ULTRA L+ work indoors?
Yes. The ULTRA L+ uses three positioning technologies: multi-constellation GNSS (GPS + GALILEO) outdoors, Wi-Fi positioning indoors and BLE for precision zones. It works indoors and outdoors with no particular configuration.
Is the firmware updated remotely?
Yes. The ULTRA L+ supports OTA (over-the-air) updates over NB-IoT, LTE-M and BLE. No physical intervention is needed after installation. Firmware images are signed and encrypted (AES) for security.
