non-powered logistics assets
Trailers, tankers, containers, forklifts — TRAKmy tracks every piece of equipment in your logistics chain, powered or not, however widely scattered.
The 4 key questions
The 4 major problems
we solve
Without visibility over your non-powered logistics assets, every day brings time-consuming searches, forgotten assets and transport conditions that cannot be verified.
Where are my logistics assets?
At customers, at subcontractors, in distant yards — without GPS, finding a trailer can take up to 90% of your operations team's time.
When and how much (km) are they used?
Without rotation and mileage data, you cannot spot dormant assets, optimise maintenance or bill accurately on a pay-per-use model.
Are transport conditions compliant?
Temperature, humidity, shock — without sensors on your refrigerated trailers and tankers, you cannot guarantee regulatory compliance or prove that contractual conditions were met.
Are my assets being stolen?
Diversion, out-of-hours use, unauthorised movement by subcontractors — without geofence alerts, losses only surface once they have already happened.

Our transport customers see three measurable performance levers — figures drawn from field experience.
How it works
3 steps to take
control of your fleet
Tracking, condition detection, analysis and response — a simple flow, operational in under a day.
Tracking — a rugged tracker, fitted in 1 min
An industrial GPS tracker fitted in one minute to any asset. No wiring, no tools. Operational across the whole fleet in under a day.
Detection — optional condition sensors
Complete the tracker with BLE sensors to monitor temperature, humidity, fill level or door opening — with no rewiring.
Analyse & respond — software ready to go
The TRAKmy platform centralises all the data — position, conditions, alerts, mileage — and integrates with your TMS through an open API.
Step 1
Full visibility
over your logistics assets
Know at any moment where your trailers, containers and trolleys are — their location, their condition and their activity, from a single interface.
Locate the whole fleet at a glance
A unified map with position, journey history and time spent at each location — trailers and tractors tracked independently of each other.
Spot unused or forgotten assets
Identify trailers standing idle for X days at a customer or in a depot — reassign them rather than buying new assets. Typically 15% of investment avoided.
Plan deliveries & collections
Trigger collections automatically from presence and activity data. Keep your customers informed of delivery status in good time — with no phone calls.
Step 2
Digital logbook
& smart alerts
Replace your Excel files and paper logs with automatic, verifiable and usable traceability of every asset — round the clock, even at your subcontractors.
Full history per asset
Access every position, movement and event since the tracker was fitted — exportable data for disputes, audits or insurance reports.
Alerts if assets are misplaced or diverted
Immediate notification if a trailer is not at the right site, stays too long outside a monitored zone, or moves at unauthorised times.
Subcontractor compliance monitoring
Check that your subcontractors respect time slots, routes and contractual conditions — timestamped, geolocated evidence that stands up in a dispute.
Step 3
Guarantee transport
conditions & compliance
For refrigerated trailers, tankers and containers carrying sensitive goods — monitor transport conditions continuously and act before a problem becomes a claim.
Continuous temperature & humidity monitoring
Battery-powered BLE sensors paired with the GPS tracker — detect any temperature drift in a refrigerated trailer before the goods are compromised.
Fill level & load monitoring
Know whether your tanker, container or MAFI is loaded or empty — and optimise rotations and collections accordingly.
Mileage readings & predictive maintenance
Accurate mileage to schedule maintenance at the right time — fewer breakdowns on the road and pay-per-use billing models based on real usage.
Optional sensors
Go beyond positioning —
monitor transport conditions
By combining GPS trackers and battery-powered BLE sensors, TRAKmy gives you full visibility over the state and conditions of your assets — with no additional wiring.
Temperature
Continuous monitoring of the cold chain for refrigerated trailers, tankers and containers carrying sensitive goods.
Humidity
Detection of humidity anomalies to guarantee compliant storage and transport conditions.
Fill level
Know whether your container, tanker or MAFI is loaded or empty, to optimise rotations and cut empty runs.
Door opening
Detection of unauthorised container or trailer opening — instant alerts for cargo security.
How we digitised
a multi-site haulier's fleet
Logistics haulier — France
A multi-site operator with trailers spread across 9 depots and subcontractors
Stated needs
Trailers tracked independently of tractors
Once the solution was deployed across the 9 sites in 2 days, the trackers made it possible to track trailers independently of the trucks. Each asset now has its own position history, time spent at each customer, and configurable alerts — even at subcontractors.
Dormant assets spotted & reassigned
The solution made it possible to spot trailers standing idle for several weeks at certain customers. Those assets were recovered and reassigned to sites running short — a direct reduction in unnecessary investment estimated at 15%.
Transport condition compliance proven
For refrigerated trailers, temperature sensors paired with the trackers made it possible to detect temperature drift proactively and generate timestamped compliance reports for the shippers — fully replacing the paper log.
Multi-site management from a single interface
Five platform seats deployed for the operators at each site — a real-time dashboard replacing shared Excel files and location phone calls. TMS integration through the API for automatic synchronisation of round data.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know
about positioning for transport
Answers to your questions about GPS trackers for trailers, containers and towed fleets — technology, pricing, integrations, compliance.
What is a GPS tracker for transport and trailers?
A transport GPS tracker is a battery-powered IoT device designed for towed and non-powered assets: trailers, semi-trailers, shipping containers, tankers, flatbeds and swap bodies. It combines GPS (outdoors), Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (indoors) for accurate positioning in any environment.
It communicates over the NB-IoT network with no SIM card and runs for 5 to 10 years with no recharging thanks to its long-life battery. The TRAKmy platform provides real-time positioning, anti-theft alerts, automatic geofences per site, journey history and integration with your TMS or ERP.
How much does a GPS tracker for a transport fleet cost?
A TRAKmy transport GPS tracker costs between €99 and €250 excl. VAT per unit, depending on the model and the quantity ordered :
• COMPACT 1115 from €99 for swap bodies and small containers
• ULTRA N+ at €200 for trailers, semi-trailers and shipping containers in extreme conditions
The single annual subscription of €69.90 per tracker includes international SIM-free NB-IoT connectivity, the web platform, the mobile app, customisable alerts, TMS/ERP APIs and technical support.
Volume pricing from 100 units. Personalised quote within 24 hours.
How does positioning a trailer or container work without a SIM card?
The TRAKmy GPS tracker uses the NB-IoT network (Narrowband IoT), a low-power cellular network deployed by the established mobile operators across their existing masts.
No physical SIM card is required: connectivity is built into the tracker at the factory and works automatically across 74+ countries with no roaming to activate. This technology delivers 5 to 10 years of battery life while still reporting positions several times a day.
Ideal for towed fleets travelling across Europe and internationally, and for assets with no power supply.
How do you cut trailer and container theft with a GPS tracker?
The TRAKmy platform lets you configure geofences around your yards, depots and customer sites. Any unplanned exit from a zone triggers a real-time alert by email, SMS or push notification.
Out-of-hours alerts (night, weekend, public holidays) are particularly effective at detecting theft. If a theft is confirmed, you give the GPS position to the police, which multiplies the chances of recovery fivefold .
Our customers report a 60 to 80% reduction in theft in the first year , thanks to the deterrent effect of the trackers and to real-time alerts.
Can the transport GPS tracker be integrated with an existing TMS or ERP?
Yes. TRAKmy has a bidirectional REST API (Pull + Push) and MQTT support for real-time integrations.
All the data — GPS positions, geofences, anti-theft alerts, journey history, temperature and shock sensor data — feeds automatically into your system.
Compatible with SAP, Oracle TMS, Sage, Mapotempo, Shippeo, Transwide and Project44 , and any TMS/ERP with an API. Our technical team supports the integration and provides developer documentation. This service is included in the Professional and Analytics plans.
Does the transport GPS tracker work internationally and inside shipping containers?
Yes. The NB-IoT network covers 74+ countries , including the whole of Europe (France, Benelux, Germany, Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, Poland and others), much of the Middle East, Asia and North America. No SIM card and no roaming to manage.
For shipping containers, dead zones and basements, the tracker stores its positions locally for up to 60 days and retransmits them automatically as soon as it regains a network connection. No data is lost, even on long-distance sea freight or cross-border transport.
Ideal for international supply chains and intercontinental shipments.
